PostSubject: FASTRAK in 2010?? Check This Out   Wed Dec 30, 2009 11:46 am

Hi

Last year I visited Putnam County Speedway on a couple of occasions. On one such occasion I spoke to all of the drivers about the FASTRAK Racing Series. I used to live and race in the Jacksonville area years ago and always felt a need for something like FASTRAK but it didn't exist at the time.

I'm very excited about 2010 in that we are on Hoosier tires,.....finally. More importantly, in 2010 we are providing point money for every support class at every track (track championships) which pays the top 3, even in mini stocks. Hence, track championships are paid by us!!!!!

Our point funds for the crate cars exceeded $225,000 in 2009 and due to our level playing field enviroment rules, virtually every track in the nation had someone in the money in one championship or another. In the weekly points, almost half of the drivers finishing in the Top 50, never left thier home track - proving traveling to races is not necessary

Local track rules apply to support classes.

In terms of how closely we work with tracks, we talk to every track every week. We also help with anything we can from hotdogs to insurance. Our national website gets around 1.6 million hits a month. In addition we have driver profile pages with photos and team sponsor info and points are always up to date.

I will be back in our offices on Monday where I can be reached at 678-935-7304. Our phone system is automated so please follow the prompts. Should you get my voicemail, please leave a message. IT WILL BE RETURNED. Anyone in our office who does not return a call loses a limb (LOL) Point is; EVERONE who calls us realizes how important they are to us early on.

You can also reach me at home before Monday at 706-391-9065.

Thanks

Michael Hurley

what does this all mean for PCS. Is the track going to open for 2010? Is it going to be ran by the same person and is the surface going to be the same? These are the questions everyone has now we all just need the truth. There really hasn't been anything on her at all.

I am as much in thje dark as well. I am hopeful that there might be interest among the race teams in all the divisions which have competed at PCS. I really feel as though FASTRAK has something to offer and in terms of the various championships, what we have done for crates is well documented - we invented the concept and do it better than anyone because we done it the longest. We have learned the lessons and worked the bugs out that other series have yet to experience.

In terms of track championships for support classes and us paying those championships, it's an expediture a track does not have to expense, In addition, come seasons end when it's time to pay those who worked and raced hard all year, concerns like 'will we get paid' don't exist.

We have heard that we might not have a place to run next for this season so this doesn't really help us any. Unless ofcourse you guys are planning on getting with Mr.Genovar and running PCS yourself or buying pcs. It would def be nice to know sometjing soon so we know what gears and setups to put on our cars.
